The Loft was our very first glamping makeover project, created in 2020 and welcomed onto the site in 2021. Tucked away in our adults-only area beside the pond, it offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by wildlife, tranquillity and beautiful natural views.

Originally, the metal body of The Loft was part of an HMS vehicle used to transport prisoners between courtrooms and jails — a piece of history with many stories to tell. Carefully reimagined, it has been transformed into a unique and cosy glamping hideaway.

The Loft comfortably sleeps two adults in a double bed, with all bedding provided for a relaxing stay. Inside you’ll also find a 12V phone charger, along with books and games if you fancy switching off and passing the time the old-fashioned way.

Outside, a fully equipped camper’s kitchen provides everything you need to prepare a simple supper or a hot drink. There’s a seating area where you can take in the views, listen to the birds and enjoy a quiet moment in nature. For a true bird’s-eye perspective, the upstairs balcony area offers both privacy and fantastic views across the pond and surrounding landscape.

A clean on-site toilet block with hot showers is just a short walk from the pod. (towels and toiletries are not provided)

When the evening air turns cool, gather around the fire pit — with logs and kindling provided — and settle in under the starry night sky for a cosy and memorable end to the day.
