Meet Molly, our charming converted horse transporter here at Kingfisher Meadow. Once built for carrying horses across the countryside, Molly has now trotted into a gentler life as a cosy and characterful family glamping pod, offering a unique stay with a nod to her equestrian past.
Inside, Molly has been thoughtfully converted to sleep up to three adults, or two adults with two small children thanks to the cleverly designed bunk sleeping area. Bedding is provided, so you can arrive, settle in, and start enjoying your countryside escape straight away.
One of Molly’s best features is the elevated patio just off the bedroom, a perfect perch for taking in the meadow views, enjoying a morning coffee, or relaxing in the evening with a well-earned sundowner.
Molly also includes a camper-style kitchen and phone charging points, while guests have convenient access to the site’s shower and toilet facilities.
With her quirky heritage and peaceful setting, Molly has truly found her stable here on the meadow — the perfect spot for a relaxed countryside break with a little equestrian charm.
Molly began life as a hardworking horse transporter, travelling many miles carrying horses safely from place to place. After years on the road she was looking a little tired and ready for retirement, but we saw the potential for something special.
Rather than letting a solid old workhorse go to waste, we carefully cleaned, repaired and repurposed the transporter using reclaimed timber and recycled materials wherever possible. The aim was to give it a new life while keeping a little of its equestrian character intact.
Today, Molly stands proudly in the meadow — no longer hauling horses, but offering guests a cosy countryside stay and proving that with a bit of imagination, even an old transporter can enjoy a well-earned second life.
